The cost to your companyYou might think that the price alone is reason enough to look the other way when it comes to being eco-friendly and stick to cheap old-fashioned plastics and PVC products. But with more people buying into the green market, prices are coming down. And the more companies who invest in eco-friendly printing products, the lower the costs will be for everyone.A number of green substrates are reusable and self-adhesive (FujiFilm's WonderTack being one example) which means that they will last longer, and you can save on the cost of having to hire a signmaker.Even those materials that are not reusable may well be recyclable and therefore lead to lower costs in the long run. For example, fabric substrates are cheaper to transport than paper and easier to dispose of than PVC.Landfill costs a great deal to the taxpayer as well as the environment. It is significantly more cost effective to recycle used boards than it is to throw them away: every board that contains multiple materials including PVC, laminates and vinyl is impossible to separate and so ends up in landfill.The main reason for the lower price of PVC is because it is mass-produced. Some environmentally-friendly products are produced in smaller quantities, hence the higher prices. But Dufaylite already mass-produce their sustainable products, keeping the costs down and often lower than those of PVC.
